From Northern Spirit’s cockpit, a
stairway leads down to the accommodation deck with its
three en suite cabins, two saloons and dining area. Immaculate
varnished cherry panelling is complemented by elegant
furnishings throughout, and large windows and portholes
offer wonderful views and illuminate the interior with
natural light.
Aboard and ashore…
There’s
a fantastic golf course on the island we’re
anchored off, and the Captain had pre-arranged for
us to have an early-morning game. After an unforgettable
round, we spent the afternoon on the beach with
the children and had fun swimming and beachcombing
for shells. Late afternoon we headed back to the
yacht.
I
escaped down to the cabin, put on a CD and had
a long, hot bath in the en suite. Clean towels
had been laid out and all my freshly washed laundry
had been returned and neatly folded away. Had
a wonderful barbecue on deck, and when
it got cool later on we retreated to the comfort
of the saloon sofas to finish our bottle of wine.
We finally made it downstairs to find our bedside
lights on to welcome us, fresh bottles of water
left out and, as usual, the beds beautifully
turned down ready for us.
